Police: Man kills ex, himself

SANTA FE — Española police say a man and his ex-girlfriend are dead after a homicide-suicide after the man stopped her while both were driving in the northern New Mexico city.
According to police, 36-year-old Sergio Gandara shot and killed 33-year-old Janeth Bojorquez after using his vehicle to stop hers and then removed her from her car at gunpoint.
Police say they got 911 calls about a man pointing a gun at a woman just before Gandara shot Bojorquez and then himself.
Both died at a nearby hospital.
The Santa Fe New Mexican reports that court records indicate that Bojorquez and Gandara were involved in a custody battle over a child.
