Vandal caught on camera
Besides destroying lights that were hung on the bottom part of the Plaza Park gazebo late Monday or early Tuesday, the vandal made off with a Christmas tree and stockings.
But it may just be city authorities who get the last laugh.
Las Vegas Police Chief Christian Montaño confirmed Wednesday that the incident was captured on video, and his department is investigating.
The theft and vandalism have disheartened city staffers who made it a point this year to put up more holiday decorations than in previous years.
