The boilers at West Las Vegas Middle School are out, and that is causing some schedule changes, officials said this morning.
West Las Vegas Superintendent Jim Abreu said students were to be let out at 11:30 a.m. today and teachers at noon.
On Tuesday, he said the school was planning to delay the beginning of classes for two hours.
Abreu said maintenance crews have been working on the system, but they may need the help of a heating contractor for certain parts.
“We’re trying to be proactive about this,” Abreu said.
