Residents in both San Miguel and Mora counties should have plenty to do over the weekend.

The fourth annual Rough Rider Motorcycle Rally will be held in the Meadow City, with most events at Plaza Park.

And Mora will hold its annual fiesta in its central area. Villanueva has its fiesta planned as well.

Today, Plaza Park opens for the bike rally, with entertainment and other activities throughout the weekend. The event has been getting bigger and bigger each year.

One of the more popular activities is the tattoo competition at the Plaza Hotel at noon Saturday at the Plaza Hotel.

The festivities will end at 3 p.m. Sunday with the annual bike drawing at Plaza Park. For more information on the rally, call 617-5632 or visit www.roughridermotorcylerally.com.

The Mora Fiesta also starts today, with a dance from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., which includes the crowning of the queen. Two girls are participating — Frankie Lee Trujillo, daughter of Rosalie and Ernesto Trujillo of Chacon, and Magdalena Sandoval, daughter of Darlene Gallegos and Raymond Sandoval of the Rainsville-Guadalupita area.

The annual fiesta parade is set for 10 a.m. Saturday. After the parade, a rodeo is planned at the rodeo grounds. Another rodeo is set for 1 p.m. Sunday.

As always, the fiesta will feature entertainment and a variety of food booths on the main street in Mora.

Villanueva has its fiesta activities on Saturday.
