Bicyclist hurt after crashing into car

A 39-year-old bicyclist sustained head injuries Saturday evening when a pizza delivery driver cut her off on Seventh Street, causing her to crash, according to state police.

The bicyclist has been identified as Rebecca Barefoot, 39. She was transported to Alta Vista Regional Hospital by ambulance.

The extent of Barefoot’s injuries is unclear. State police Lt. Craig Martin said the report mentioned only that she sustained head injuries. Also, federal privacy laws prohibit hospitals from discussing patients.
