Baseball bat attack leads to charges

Authorities earlier this month arrested a 19-year-old Sapello woman on child abuse and aggravated battery charges stemming from a Jan. 4 incident in which an underage girl was beaten with a baseball bat.

Las Vegas Police obtained an arrest warrant for Rheanne M. Parks in January, but Parks wasn’t apprehended until Feb. 2. Parks was arrested and booked into the San Miguel County Detention Center, but according to online court records she has since bonded out.
