Among the agenda items voted on at Monday’s Council meeting was approval of out of state travel for Councilor Joey Herrera to attend the National Voice of the Hispanic Legal Community in Denver.
The convention will be held in September and is being put on by the Hispanic National Bar Association.
Councilor Tonita Gurule-Giron pegged the cost of the trip and of the training session at about $1,500, and she objected, saying that Herrera could receive free training in New Mexico.
