Dr. Sylvia Rodriguezis Professor Emerita, Anthropology, University of New Mexico. Her focus has been on culture in Northern New Mexico, water and the effects of tourism. She is the author of numerous publications and books, inlcluding Acequia: Water-sharing, Sanctity, and Place and The Matachines Dance. She is a native of Taos and is its foremost historian.
