Longtime attorney Anna M. Aragon announced Wednesday that she will be running for a judgeship in the 4th Judicial District, which encompasses San Miguel, Mora and Guadalupe counties.
Aragon, a Democrat, will be seeking the Division 1 position, which is currently held by Gerald Baca. Baca was appointed to the post by Gov. Susana Martinez after longtime Judge Eugenio Mathis resigned.
Baca said back in April that he would be running to retain the seat.
The primary is in June with the General Election in November.
