Amend cartoon, call out the liars

(Regarding the Feb. 4 editorial cartoon:) Man oh man. Nothing like a balanced presentation. How can we have a balanced and calm discussion of gun control when both sides scream and rant at each other?

From reading various articles and hearing several newscasts it does not appear that crime or mayhem was any less when we did have a ban on assault weapons and enlarged magazines.

Perhaps we should indict (Attorney General Eric) Holder for the stupid plot to place assault weapons in the hands of known narcotic dealers in Mexico.

Your editorial cartoon could be amended to show a skull of Holder or the President (assuming he was in on the deal).

P.S.: Have enjoyed the pros and cons of the letters concerning fracking. Boy, those mean old oil companies are a bunch of bums. However, I notice that many folks have no problem accepting tax dollars generated by those dirty no-good bums. Glad to know that if you have money you are automatically a liar. If you are flat broke, are you honest?
