Colorado State University at Pueblo remains No. 1 in the American Football Coaches Association national rankings of NCAA Division II football after beating Colorado Mesa 48-10 this past Saturday.
After being shut out of the poll entirely a week ago on the heels of a 36-33 loss to Chadron State, NMHU picked up some votes in the AFCA poll, unofficially ranking 35th. The Cowboys went as high as 27th before falling to the Eagles on Oct. 20.
Chadron, a 41-23 winner over Western New Mexico last week, moved up to 28th, unofficially.
